The First-Time Flow
Start by signing in to XLabs. After that, open Hubs to see the learning paths available to your account.
If your organization or creator has assigned you to a hub, that hub becomes your main learning path. If a hub is open and live, you can browse its available labs and challenges.
Think In Terms Of A Project Path
When you choose a hub, do not think only about the next lab. Think about the project that the hub is preparing you for.
For example, Linux labs prepare you to inspect files, logs, processes, permissions, and services inside larger troubleshooting or production-readiness projects. Docker and Kubernetes labs prepare you to run, package, deploy, and operate applications in project work.
Choosing Your First Lab
For your first session, choose a beginner lab. If you are new to the topic, a theory quiz lab is a good starting point because it focuses on concepts and decisions before terminal commands.
If the lab requires a terminal, check whether it uses local execution, cloud execution, or either mode.
When Setup Is Needed
Theory quiz labs do not need Docker or the XLabs app. Terminal labs may need the XLabs app, Docker Desktop, or cloud execution depending on the lab.
If you are not ready to install local tools, use available theory labs first and return to setup before starting terminal-heavy work.
